Letter from the
President:
It seems
in this day of the claims industry a few basic tenants have
been overlooked. First and foremost is the notion of
treating folks as you would like to be treated. Call me
crazy but I venture if that thought reined in the forefront
I do believe we would have a much better world to live in.
SEALS
was formed out of need and opportunity. When the opportunity
to launch SEALS presented itself it was a no brainer we
certainly felt the need. The need to gather consummate
professionals and to create an environment for these people
to work in without the remedial factors that so often impact
and detract from what the “Independent Adjuster” is all
about.
So this
is what we’ve launched into and we are going to continue to
strive toward that goal. The mutual goal of sticking to
basics and understanding the needs of our clients while
streamlining the process for the people that do all the work
in the field. The main focus remains that of the insured.
Getting the first party in the loop taken care of and
getting them back on their feet after a time of need is
paramount. Getting the insured paid fairly is what this is
all about. Treating the major player as one would like to be
treated in a professional, effective and timely manner.
Without the insured there would be no premium, no policy and
no need to service it.
SEALS
also takes the clients needs into consideration and strives
to accommodate in every way. To go above and beyond with our
efforts to culminate the contract; to accept assignments,
employ every method we can to keep all parties informed of
memorials and to move our claims forward to a swift yet
effective closure. While doing this we keep the needs of the
adjuster foremost to facilitate all we can to smooth out the
process. All the parties engaged in the process have special
needs and all must be considered and tended to. All parties
have to be treated as one would like to be treated. A simple
statement, a simple process and yet something so simple to
overlook.
We hope
that we can create an environment where insured’s needs are
met, clients seek us out for our high caliber of product and
associates while we continue to not only attract more
consummate professionals but live up to our commitment which
we hope will nurture our current associates and maintain our
stature in the community.
To that
end and toward these goals we remain the SEALS Team.
Sincerely,
Terrence
J. Donohue
President
SEALS
A
Professional Services Group, Inc.
Mission Statement
The Seals Group was formed
in November of ’05. It was begun as a single project to
handle over 150 large loss commercial condo association
claims as a result of damages caused to buildings by
hurricane Wilma.
Approximately 50 adjusters
took on the task to inspect 3,500 buildings or more and
upwards to 50,000 single unit owner condominiums. This task
was essentially complete by the first of April ’06. We will
always be proud of the effort put forth by our associates to
achieve that end.
Our goal is to continue to
draw in consummate professionals from within the catastrophe
adjusting community. The SEALS Group will always strive to
be a cut above. We seek out associates that are highly
skilled. Our target associate has a minimum of ten years
experience and we hope this to be in large loss commercial
property claims. Twenty years experience is more what we
look for. Many are degreed and we’re proud to know that some
of our associates are not only licensed adjusters in many
states but also walk as engineers, accountants, IT
specialists and the list goes on.
A few key catch words or
phrases in this group are “integrity, honesty, a good work
ethic, high morale standards, set the bar, timely
turn-around, done right the first time, quick response,
dedicated, consummate professional… “. These are the ideals
that we like to focus on. These are the kind of things that
drive the associates you will find among the ranks of the
SEALS Group.
Not everyone is invited
into this elite group. Not everyone has the drive nor the
inclination to take on what it entails to be a part of this
Group. We understand and appreciate that. We are so terribly
fortunate to have those among us that do hold these values
and goals near at heart.
Our clients benefit greatly
from our level of standards as do the insured’s that we are
all here to serve. We also seek out the client that holds
similar ideals and clients that are excited to have our
caliber of adjuster on board for their needs. It’s a win,
win situation for all parties involved and winds up with a
terrific result for the central character in this world of
adjusting; the insured. We understand that having all the
tools and skills to handle a claim in the most expeditious
manner possible and fully encompass all aspects of the claim
to an end that will see the insured compensated fairly; is
truly what this is all about. We work hard toward that end.
The term SEALS came from
our concept that we are the “Old Bull Seals…” that hit the
beach and take care of business. We take the attitude that
during a time of crises which all catastrophic events are;
we’re not there to play although we truly enjoy what we do.
We’re there to get in and get out. We’re there to get the
business at hand done effectively, efficiently and most
expeditiously.
To that end we remain the SEALS, A
Professional Services Group, Inc.
